OSLO, June 19, 2018- The Manager of NDC Skopje Training Centre, Ms. Biljana Krsteska Papic and the founder of Nansen Dialogue Network, Mr. Steinar Bryn attended the Conference: “The Universal Declaration of Human Rights at 70. Human Rights and Inclusive citizenship: Conditions for Co-existence in Conflict-Ridden Societies”.

The Conference was held at the Norwegian Nobel Institute and was launched with the opening remarks of Ms. Ine Eriksen Søreide, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Norway, Mr. Guri Hjeltnes, Director of the Center for Study of the Holocaust and Religious Minorities and Mr. Henrik Syse, Research professor at the Peace Research Institute in Oslo.

“Inclusive citizenship, where individuals enjoy equal opportunities and rights, whatever their gender, religion, economic and social situation or ethnic background is fundamental to our society”- highlighted the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Norway during her opening remarks.

In the panel dedicated on the topic “Conditions for Co-existence in Conflict-Ridden Societies” Mr. Biljana Krsteska Papic and Mr. Steinar Bryn shared the experience from the Nansen approach towards building peaceful and cohesive societies while using dialogue and intercultural education as a tool for reconciliation in divided societies. The attendees also had the opportunity to hear more about the results and achievements of the Nansen model for intercultural education and its impact.
